fTLD Registry is now offering Registry Lock, a security service, through participating fTLD-Approved Registrars providing an even higher level of protection to .BANK and .INSURANCE domain names. When enabled, Registry Lock prevents any modifications or updates to domain names and their DNS to mitigate the potential for domain hijacking, inadvertent or unintended deletions, transfers and/or updates. The Registry Lock service will be managed and facilitated by GoDaddy Registry, fTLD’s backend registry provider, who provides this same service to the .BIZ, .US and .CO TLDs.
