fTLD Registry Services is now one of two remaining applicants for the .insurance gTLD after the Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) prevailed in its community objection to Auburn Park, LLC’s (a Donuts company) application for .insurance. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), ICANN’s selected dispute resolution service provider, found in favor of FSR and the decision is available here. fTLD is waiting to hear the results of FSR’s community objection to the other remaining applicant for .insurance, Dotfresh, Inc. (a Radix company), and if that is successful fTLD could begin offering domain names in .insurance in the latter part of 2014.
